About the department

Admissions department working hours: 24/7.

The admissions department provides primary and secondary wound care (wound dressing) on weekdays from 4 p.m. On weekends and public holidays, the service is available 24/7. The service is subject to a fee, except for children under the age of 18.

On weekends and public holidays, children under the age of 18 are consulted by a pediatrician. Consultations are free of charge. They are paid for by the Sigulda District Council.

Documents required when registering with a doctor or being admitted to hospital:

  1. Passport or ID card.
  2. Referral or extract from the last doctor’s visit
  3. Tests (if any)
  4. Insurance policy
  5. Certificate or statement exempting you from all or part of the patient’s co-payment (children under 18 years of age);
  • Pregnant women and women in the postpartum period up to 42 days (if receiving healthcare services related to pregnancy and postpartum observation and the course of pregnancy).politically repressed persons, participants in the National Resistance Movement and persons affected by the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, as well as persons affected by its consequences;
  • Group I disabled persons;
  • tuberculosis patients and patients undergoing tests for tuberculosis;
  • persons with mental illness receiving psychiatric treatment;
  • patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis, hemodiafiltration, and peritoneal dialysis procedures throughout the entire treatment process;
  • persons receiving health care services in cases of infectious diseases listed in Annex 6 to Regulation No. 1529;
  • patients receiving long-term artificial lung ventilation at home; organ donors;
  • persons receiving home health care or palliative health care in inpatient medical institutions under the palliative care service program, as well as palliative health care provided by a family doctor during home visits;
  • persons in need who are recognized as such in accordance with regulatory enactments on the procedure for recognizing a family or a person living alone as being in need;
  • Emergency medical service workers; persons who receive emergency medical assistance from emergency medical (ambulance) teams;
  • persons who receive services in long-term social care and social rehabilitation institutions registered in the Register of Social Service Providers, upon presentation of a document confirming this fact at a medical institution; all residents who undergo preventive examinations and tests (preventive health care for children, cancer prevention) in accordance with the procedure laid down in regulatory enactments;
  • all residents who undergo vaccination within the framework of the vaccination calendar, passive immunotherapy, as well as vaccination against influenza in accordance with the regulations on the procedure for compensation of expenses for the purchase of medicines and medical devices intended for outpatient treatment;
  • if the patient’s contributions during one calendar year have reached EUR 569.15 and the patient, upon presentation of documents confirming the payments, has received an exemption from one of the territorial divisions of the National Health Service.
