  Bariatric surgeons of Sigulda Hospital participated in World Congress for the Surgery of Obesity in Toronto

  From 26 August to 30 August 2014, the World Congress for the Surgery of Obesity was held in Toronto, Canada. Within the programme of the congress, our specialists attended the further education course Gastric Sleeve in order to raise their qualification on the nuances of surgical methodology. Live video broadcasts were organised from operating theatres of Japan, the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, France and Belgium during the congress, with the world's leading surgeons demonstrating their performance of operations.We concluded that the number of bariatric surgeries is rapidly growing worldwide and that the methods used at Sigulda Hospital are in line with the newest trends in the World.
