LLC “Sigulda Hospital” from 01.07.2020. Begins Operating a Renovated 3rd Care Unit for the 2nd Stage Treatment of Stroke Patients

The new unit is maximally adapted for patients with mobility impairments. The unit has 25 electrically adjustable functional beds with anti-bedsore mattresses. Each room has a sanitary facility, some of which are specially adapted for patients with mobility impairments. Very convenient patient lockers that can be easily used by both sitting and lying patients. New, comfortable, various-width patient wheelchairs and stretchers are available. To protect patients from heat during summer months, electrically adjustable external blinds have been installed on the sun-facing windows. An ozonation and bipolar ionization device is built into the air ventilation system. All rooms are equipped with centralized oxygen supply. There are four mobile patient monitors that can record vital signs if necessary.
The total project cost is 770 thousand euros, of which European fund financing is 85%, Latvian State financing is 9%, and Sigulda municipality financing is 6%
