New Operating Table Already Tested

SIA "Siguldas slimnīca" (Sigulda Hospital Ltd.), with the support of Sigulda City Council, has purchased a new multifunctional operating table with extensive transformation capabilities for various types of surgeries.
Incredibly, SIA "UMT", representing the US-based "Steris" in the Baltics, won the tender with the lowest price of EUR 35,990.00 excluding VAT. Given that this is the first such operating table in Latvia, the manufacturer had offered a special price, which pleasantly surprised the procurement commission of SIA "Siguldas slimnīca", but disappointed other tender participants.
The first patient on the new table was a man (which is said to be very important, according to surgeons' superstition).
